M.T. Carpenter Landscape

Arnold Palmer

Our clients' house is located on the TPC golf course in Blaine, Minnesota. The homeowners continuously had golfers hitting balls and walking through their backyard because of inadequate screening. The existing landscape had a triangle shaped pergola and small 12'x12' concrete patio; however, it was not conducive for entertaining friends and family. The soil was primarily black dirt, which retains a lot of moisture. The lack of proper drainage from the gutters was making the space unusable after heavy rainfall. In addition, our clients requested a custom water feature in the front yard that would tie into their existing landscape.

Custom Water Feature

The water feature below started out as a sketch on a napkin. We worked closely with the client to make sure the end design surpassed all their initial expectations. Our favorite part of this water feature is the copper plating, which provides movement, elegance, and continuity to this luxurious landscape.

Paver Installation

Over 1,000 sqft of Rochester Stone Silver Creek Bluestone pavers were installed. The homeowners now have plenty of space to entertain family and friends in this ultimate outdoor living area.

Outdoor Kitchen & Pergola

We added onto the existing pergola vs. tearing it down to save on costs, create less waste material, and provide additional shade for the outdoor kitchen area. The thin veneer natural stone outdoor kitchen boasts a 40" grill, refrigerator with ice tray, hot and cold water, and plenty of counter space.

Natural Water Feature

We also created a secondary pondless water feature made from Virginia Mix Stone and 1.5" Mocha Rock constructed near the back patio. The water feature begins at the base of two tall spruce trees in a berm area. This gives the illusion of water coming out of a hillside. The water then cascades down two waterfalls and into a rock bed.

Low-Voltage Lighting

low-voltage lighting was added around the property, which highlights the homes' architectural features and draws attention to the newly installed landscape. The landscape lighting illuminates the trees, shrubs, perennials, outdoor kitchen, and water features enhancing the overall outdoor ambiance of this amazing outdoor space!
